Hello, I restarted my HP3 ProLiANDL360 Gen11 server three days ago, and now when I log in to the system, regardless of the user account, I get the following message:

"The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation's trust relationship."

I need to be able to log in to the system, or failing that, to restore the system to a previous state.

The server is running, and users can use an application whose database is located on the server itself. However, we cannot access that database directly from its address \\192.168.1.230 because we get the error "You attempted to log on, but the network logon service has not started."

Incidentally, there is only one computer on the network running Windows 11, and it is the only one that can directly access \\192.168.1.230. How can we allow the other computers to access it so we can back up the database files of the application we use?

Hello @bobillo,

Your server lost trust with the domain or workgroup, which is why you can’t log in. This usually happens after a restart or when the server’s password doesn’t match the domain. To fix it, try logging in with local admin, safe mode, or restore from backup.

For accessing \\192.168.1.230, if only one computer works, check sharing settings, permissions, and firewall. Make sure all machines are in the same workgroup with matching accounts, or enable guest access.

If you just need the files, use recovery mode or a rescue disk to copy them. Long term, you’ll need to rejoin the domain or reset the computer account to restore normal access.

Hello, I was able to solve the problem. What I did was boot the Windows Server 2020 system with F8 and use the "Restore last known good configuration" option. This restored Active Directory. Thank you for your help.
