Believe it or not there is a new HPLJ5Si for Windows 2000 posted in the last 10 days (for the straight 5Si). Go to the following link and select your 5Si variant and then select Windows 2000 and download the driver. I assume you're looking for PCL5e version.

Good luck!

Roger

If the printer was working fine, and you just started getting this error, you could have a document in the print spool that is damaged or corrupted.

Pause the printer, delete the first document, then unpause the printer.

If this doesn't clear it, try stoping/re-starting the spooler service.

Jon
I get the same error on an NT Terminal server when printing to a HP LJ 5si. We are able to delete the "busy" job to let others through, but have not been able to determine the cause. It will happen when a person prints a certain file (usually Excel file), but anyone else can print that file to that printer without it going "busy". Also, if the person having the problem does a Save As, then they will be able to print it without it going "busy".

Any help would be appreciated.

For Medemper: Your problem is related to the type of lock being granted from the server (Opportunistic Locking).

The Excel problem is being discussed in this thread:
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0xdf6a9c196a4bd71190080090279cd0f9,00.html

Jon
