Any one knows a software I can use in windows 2000 pro. to connect two pc??s through a usb cable to transfer files.

will do it. Note that you need a special bridging USB cable which is included in the full package for $79 or you can buy it (or an equivalent) separately for $29 and download the program for $45.

Software is a lot more and you have to buy the cable separately.

Or... build a cross-over cable (about $5) and plug into the NIC cards.
