Hello Jacobo,

You might have to wait a few more weeks for the final HP printer drivers to be
released for W2K. The product has not officially been released although some
of us do have the final bits. Please check the HP site in a few weeks for all
of the W2K drivers.

Good Luck,
Jamie Hughes

"Hewlett-Packard LaserJet printer customers will have full printer software
support for Windows 2000 Professional and Windows 2000 Server. In addition,
Windows 2000 Terminal Server will have printer driver support to provide the
performance and print quality features available in Windows 3.1x, Windows
95/98 (9x), and Windows NT 4.0 today.

To prepare for the release of Windows 2000, Hewlett Packard and Microsoft have
collaborated to provide basic printing support directly within the
Windows 2000 operating system. Windows 2000 offers a new and robust PCL 5
printer driver architecture, Unidrive5, that both Hewlett Packard and
Microsoft use to support all current monochrome and HP Color LaserJet products.
The new PCL 5 printer drivers employ a new and easy to understand user
interface to access all printer features and control specific aspects of your
print job. (Support for the HP LaserJet 1100 and HP LaserJet 3100 products will
be available directly from Hewlett Packard.) This solution
will support all regional languages covered by Windows 2000.

Hewlett-Packard is also updating its Windows NT 4.0 PCL 5 and PCL 6 drivers in
most languages for all HP LaserJets back to the HP LaserJet 4 family
printers (the first series of 600 DPI printers). These printer drivers will
operate in both Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 to provide fully featured
printer and print job controls, acommon user interface to ensure consistency
and familiarity with other Windows operating systems, and "Point
and Print" support between NT 4.0 and Windows 2000. These drivers will be
available in February 2000 to coincide with the release of Windows 2000 from
http://www.hp.com. Click here to go to the Hewlett Packard home page. These
printer drivers comply with the new Windows 2000 testing guidelines
established by Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard's own customer quality goals.
Hewlett-Packard will continue to provide updated information to reflect
driver language availability.
Hi everyone I have tried to make my HP720C DeskJet printer work fine for
Windows2000 Professional but not success yet. Win2k has compatible drivers for
this Printer but when I try to print any document from Notepad, Word, etc the
printer does not respond. I checked cables and they're fine. I've tried also
"Win2k troubleshooter" and could not help either.

What can I do?

thanks
