Hyperlink Display In MS-Word

Hello,
When I mark hyperlinks in a
word document, it appears similar to :
{ HYPERLINK \| "_Topic_1" }
rather than regular underlined
text. How can I change the
settings to display the hyperlinked text correctly ?

From the Help menu:

Turn on or off automatic formatting of hyperlinks
On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect, and then click the AutoFormat As You Type tab.

Under Replace as you type, select or clear the Internet and network paths with hyperlinks check box.

Hello Ritchard,
Disabling Auto Format also did not help. I tried all the options available. Howver, finally, I just deleted the NORMAL.DOT today and re-created it. That solved the problem. Thanks anyway.
