Mitsumi drivers

I have a HP Pavilion xt963 with a Mitsumi 48x5te cd rom. I cannot find anywhere to update the driver for this. I called Mitsumi but they said that HP would have it. Looked everywhere I know, still can't find it. The driver date I'm using now is 7/01/01....surely there is a newer driver than this. Any help appreciated.

Why do want to update the driver? Are you running WINXP? Do you have a 'bug'?

Yes I am running WinXP Home with SP1 & HP patch for SP1. I had updated all my drivers for gaming and left the cd rom alone. Now I'm having problems with games not wanting to load correctly, or shutting down all together.

Is there a symptom that occurs more than all others? Are there any error messages you can show us? How long did this system run without problems? How long after SP1 install?
