My apologies, or maybe the HP web sites were working better today. Although
W3.11 and 2000 are listed as supported, they seem not to have drivers available
from HP. linux is not shown as supported. There is a link recommending buying
a card/cable kit from advansys, who may have a corresponding driver. The
quoted price is enough to push me in the direction of donating the IIcx to the
Mac.

I have been given an HP IIcx scanner, sans cables, drivers, or documentation.
As the 25-pin female and IEEE printer cable style receptacles on the back are
labeled SCSI, I guess it was meant to work with a Mac or would require a SCSI
support card for Windows or linux. There is also a 6 pin (DIN?) jack labeled
ACF/ACC, whose purpose I cannot guess.

Evidently, as more modern scanners are available complete with interface cards
for $150, the resources justified to attempt to use this are limited.

I have found some references to this model in the HP support pages, but none
which appear to address my need for such basic information. I would be
interested in using it with Windows 3.11 or 2000RC2 but could use W95C or linux
if that is required. I could give it away to a Mac user if I could tell him
where to find the driver. Can anyone point me to more useful information?
