    <description>I have a pavilion zt1175 laptop with XP OS.  After rebooting yesterday, the system came up with the message "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM.  From what I've heard, I now have to completely restore the HD from the restore disks.  Trouble is, I have info on the HD that I need.  Does anyone know how I can recover files off the disk before I run restore on it?  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in Advance,&lt;BR /&gt;Mike the disgruntled...;-)</description>
