upgrading my proliant to win2000

I have a few proliant servers and want to upgrade them to windows 2000 server. Do I run the support pack for windows 2000 prior to the upgrade or after?

If you mean the Service Pack, you run it after WIN2K is installed (SP3). If you mean the Support Pack, I don't know what that is.

The Service Pack will also need to be re-applied after any new hardware or software is installed.

I know about service pack. I need to know when to install the support packs for my servers. Support packs are drivers for the specified servers. Install them eother before or after the upgrade?

Sorry for the confusion. I've always just used the Smartstart CD's to do clean installs of W2K. I'm not sure the procedures for upgrades.
