    <description>It may not be the printer for the others.  If the file "normal.dot" get damged it can cause LOTS of problems.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try searching for this file.  When found, either delete or rename.  The next time Word is opened, it will recreate this file cleanly.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In the mean time I will continue looking for printer related things.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jon&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <title>reboot when opening applications</title>

      <description>The workstation reboots when opening word or some application.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We did a IP scope change on the DHCP last night.&lt;BR /&gt;The ip is released and renewed on the workstations.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Having checked the event log we could find that the problem was due to the Print drivers.&lt;BR /&gt;After deleting the printers and re-adding them solved the problem in some of the workstations.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Some workstations still experience the problem after re-adding the printer.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Event ID 20&lt;BR /&gt;Warning.&lt;BR /&gt;Printer Driver RICOH Aficio 1045 RPCS for Windows NT x86 Version-2 was added or updated.       <description>Ususal questions..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Are you up-to-date on all Service Packs?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SP6a for NT 4.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;(I'm assumming from your post that you're running NT4 on the worstations.)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have you loaded the most current drivers for your Ricoh imager?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://us.support.ricoh.com/html_rc/model/af1035_45/af1035_45en.htm#Microsoft%20Windows%20NT%204.0" target="_blank"&gt;http://us.support.ricoh.com/html_rc/model/af1035_45/af1035_45en.htm#Microsoft%20Windows%20NT%204.0&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jon</description>
