Can we unshar the .shar file in window?

I have a nickel.shar file, how to unshar the file in window enviroment?

You are better off obviously doing it on an HP-UX box.

If you want to throw the dice, your only hope is probably winzip.

Why don't you ftp the file to your hpux system and run

$ sh file

You could try and extract it with the windbloze zip .... I have feeling it's not going to work ...

I don't think it is possible to unshar a file in windows. I doubt that winzip would know what to do with it.

If you've got the nickel.shar file, you've apparently got an HP-UX machine to you want to install it on, so just FTP it to the unix box, do an 'sh nickel.shar' and then install it.

I move to new office and unable to access to HP-UX box. Now I received file.shar from customer but unable to unshar it.
