VBA & M.S. Word problem

I have a word document with VBA code behind it
for validating input as well as populating a SQL table with the results on the doc. However whenever the document is first opened, it opens in design mode.

Does anyone know how I can change it so that the document is ready for user input as soon as it opens?

After u have coded the MS-Word, close the design mode and then goto the document and type something and then save it and close the doc.
