Have used HP DeskJet 870 Cxi occassionally, but stopped printing yellow color.
Bought a new cartridge, but still have the same problem

Hello Steen,

You might want to double-check the black ink cartridge. I know that sounds
strange but if one basic color is missing, this will cause other colors to
print incorrectly. I have seen this before and it was the black cartridge that
had actually run out and not the color one. Give that a try. If replacing
both cartridges doesn't fix the problem, try posting a question in the DeskJet
forums at the link below.

We had the same problem with our 1600 CM. It turned out to be a faulty
replacement cartridge. Must be very rare but not impossible.
