Audio/Modem Drivers for Pavilion 6465~Riptide 80079 Rev c

I have searched for these online and also checked other links in this forum from folks with the same question, but most of the links are broken. The machine has XP...the audio works but the modem does not. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.....If the drivers aren't available can you please tell me of a compatible modem and audio card which will work with this machine without a hitch ???

Well after looking at your problem it seems that you got modem drivers installed however its not working coz of some reasons well the document link that is provided by Roger will surely help you to overcome this problem. Also I would like to say here that whenever you follow ne answer/suggestion given by the experts you should rate their points indirectly youre rating their expertise by doing this.

I appreciate the replies. I tried everything listed on the links you submitted and still no modem detection.
1)When I try the HP Application Recovery it needs a disk of which I do not have.
2)When I try the windows update it does not detect a missing driver and the updates suggested do not contain the driver I need.
3) When I uninstall modem/hardware in question and reinstall XP and let it does not detect modem and reinstall.
4) when I try to install the riptide417.exe file it says it detects the modem.... but says "error during setup...setup is aborted".
I also read somewhere trying to install "standard 56000bps modem" I will try that next.
Any other suggestions ?

Did your system come pre-loaded with WINXP or did you add it. If pre-loaded, this link should be helpful (depending on the age of your system).

It's actually a WIN2K driver but has been known to work with WINXP. You may have to reply to one or more dialog boxes concerning signed drivers, then the driver should install successfully. Once you have the drivers working, I suggest you install the update from my first post.
