Hello all,

I am using MS SQL server 2000 and I would like to have the server with best performance and speed. I would like to configure this server for file sharing too. Which HP server (ML and DL) is the best?

Many thanks

We have had great luck running SQL Server on HP DL's. The answer to which one is better for you will probably be more dependent on your server architecture/environment. The DL's allow for fewer internal drives but generally allow for more processors per unit. DL's are great for a rack mount environment. The ML's can be rack mounted as well but most units have a larger footprint.

Check out the quick stats on both:

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/platforms/index-ml.html
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/platforms/index-dl.html
