Jpeg not printing on Color Laserjet 4500n

We have several computers at our office, all running on Mac OS X. We have found that when trying to print Word or PDF docs with jpeg files in them, the documents will not print at all, even though the print monitor shows that the doc has processed. If the jpeg is removed from the doc, then it'll print fine. The only way to print these documents with jpegs in them is to open them with Word 98 through Classic 9. Does anyone know of an easier way? We've installed the most recent HP driver but hasn't made a difference.

So what is the failing version of Word? If 2001 version, have you installed the latest SP and patches? Try going here and click on 'Check for Updates': http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx

Did any updates get installed? Did you return to ensure no more updates are required to be installed. It's not unusual to have to return 2 or more times to get all the necessary updates. Are there any MAC OS updates that ought to be installed?
