Hi Rex,

Have you by chance installed any HP OfficeJet drivers or PictureLink software?
This could be a known problem relating to a file from the software.

Check your system for a file named HPpicture.lnk - it would probably be in the
startup folder but go ahead and search the entire disk drive for it. IF you
have that file in the startup folder, this could be causing your problem. The
fix is to download the latest drivers and software from the HP website
(www.hp.com and click on Drivers). You can also move the file out of the
Startup folder but Microsoft recommends that you also install the latest driver
and software from HP.

If that file doesn't exist on your system, you will probably have to have
someone take a look at the dump you are getting to determine the exact cause.

Please post another message and let us know if the hppicture.lnk file was the
problem.

Best regards,
Jamie Hughes

DTOLE Error

I am getting a DTOLE error message from Windows 98 saying that this program has
performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. This message can not be
cleared off the screen and the computer will not allow me to recycle it unless
I press the RESET button or the off switch. I have gone into the DETAILS
button and found the following error messages:

DTOLE caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 015f:bff8836d.
Registers:
EAX=c001d984 CS=015f EIP=bff8836d EFLGS=00010212
EBX=0065ffec SS=0167 ESP=0055fe98 EBP=00560010
ECX=00000000 DS=0167 ESI=00000000 FS=3a57
EDX=bff76859 ES=0167 EDI=bff79060 GS=0000
Bytes at CS:EIP:
53 56 57 8b 75 10 8b 38 33 db 85 f6 75 2d 8d b5
Stack dump:

Is there a new driver I can download to fix this problem? It appears that
other people on the forum have had this same problem. Please advise.
