Hi Tricia,
You may have to change the bootorder in the Bios, I am not well known with this type, but try hitting F10 during boot (before windows loads) If you enter the Bios, try to find something that is called boot order and set your cdrw as first boot.

If you have a floppy drive where you can boot of, you can also download a bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com you can download a win98 bootdisk and remove the partitions with Fdisk, or try win2000 bootdisks and start the win2000 setup from there.

Have a nice day,
HTH, Ronald

Simon Poulton
On 16 May 2005 you sent me the win 2000 restore disks for my armada m700. These disks did not work on my armada so I purchased another disk drive which is a cdrw drive at your suggestion, but the disks still do not work. I currently have win 2000 on my computer but need to reformat. when I put the disks in after win 2000 loads a window does come up for system application recovery but when I shut down my armada then start it again it seems to bypass the disk and loads win 2000.
Help! what can I do to finally get this to work?
Tricia
