is it any way to find out online, via Active X, browser etc. mainboard type & bios version ?

Hi chris

If you want to find out the bios version mother name etc, there is a software (There are so many!!!) called "Belarc Advisor" which is available free in internet. I found it as very helpful. I hop you are looking for something like this.

Chris,
AFAIK there no any browser plug in for find mainboard type and bios version.
You know these information before bootstrap, pressing F10 or DEL key.
You can also download some free software like Sandra that is a diagnostic procedure.

Are you sure Live Update can work with other BIOS and mainbard? Or else, do you have all MSI mainboard/BIOS on your PCs?
