My computer does not reconize the dvd drive, Aill the connections are correct. Can anyone help?

Checked whether its disabled via BIOS or not.

This has happened to me as well. The only solution I have found is to reset the bios and use system recovery to start over. It's unfortunate too because you lose all of your data. It has repeatedly happened to me. I wish HP could come up with a permanent fix for this!
