    <description>I'd recommend that you make sure that ACPI is turned on in the bios, and make sure that your unit has the most recent bios update.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For us in the "forum", you'll need to let us know what kind of device you are using, and what OS you have loaded.  Then we can be more specific.</description>

      <description>in september 2005 your supervisor, pat boyle, helped with a problem with our printer/scanner.   since then we have aproblem with "system standby failed" and we emphasise this relates to our laptop not the printer as sugested on case history 1211122626.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;we know some time has passed but we would like to resolve this problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;we have a busines package on ourlaptop written in Thoroughbred so please do not suggest we download drivers from you web site.   See case reference 1208463232 that will clarify the situation&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;your help please!!!!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;mike &amp;amp; mary preston</description>

As such, we don't have access to your case references.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you want help on these forums, I would suggest that you post as much information as possible.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you want to post the information logged against a case Id, then if you go to &lt;A href="http://www4.itrc.hp.com/service/mcm/homepageRequest.do" target="_blank"&gt;http://www4.itrc.hp.com/service/mcm/homepageRequest.do&lt;/A&gt; where you can view your own cases.
