Recently had a battery issue wouldnt recharge so i bought a new battery , thinking life expectancy for it was done. New battery will not charge as well and old battery still will not charge. The charge light is light but no matter how long i run AC power it will not charge. Any ideas ? Also power meter sdays it is charging<BR />HP ZE 5200

You may have damaged the AC adapter jack. It is very easy to damage the System board where the Power supply plugs in, expecially if you knock the plug while it is in the jack. There is really only one solution for this - a new system board. The other alternative is not nice - disassemble the computer and repair the AC jack with araldite (requires an electronics expert) and the labour cost is probably the same as replacing the system board.
