CD Rom

I just bought a video game. I tried to play it in my CD Rom, but the computer doesn't recognize that there is a cd in there. I have tried right clicking on the start button and clicking run, but nothing happens. Does anyone have any idea of how to get it to run?

Hi Cade,

Do any other disks work in the drive?
If the answer is YES
Is the game on a DVD disk?
If the answer is YES
Swop game for the CD version
or
Swop drive in computer for a DVDRW

Hi McCullar!

Try using Different Cd's.If that works ,try this cd in different computers and see whether its work or not.

If ur not able to use any cd's, try cleaning the cd drive using the lens cleaner. Try replugging the cables by opening the tower.

Did u try opening by getting into my computer and clciking in the cd drive icon?

I did try going to My Computer and clicking on the CD Rom icon, but there was none. I'll try using the disk on other computers.

Hi Cade,

If you don't see an icon in 'my computer' for your CDROM Drive then you will first need to check the power cable is plugged in properley also the IDE Ribbon cable. however if after this you still don't see an icon for the drive you may have to change the drive.
