Dan,

Do you have any more details you could provide on your problem? What hardware are you running? What operating system, version, service packs do you have installed? What were you doing when you encountered the error?

If you could supply the actual details we might be able to point you in the right direction.

Dan,

Do you have an Adaptec 2940 or 154xB card installed? If so, it is a problem with the Adaptec driver and the bus resetting. There is an updated driver for the 2940 at the Adaptec website.

We have a client who is receiving the same error message but this is on an Internal 8Gb IDE Travan drive. Any other suggestions?

I spoke to the HP support centre and they advised me to upgrade the firmware on the tape drive which I did (V2.05 to V2.08). The system is now working correctly. Hope this helps you!
