Compaq Evo N1000v display white screen

Hi,
The Compaq I have recently showed a blank white screen. The diagnosis from the HP service centre was that I have to replace the LCD.
As I was fiddling with it just now, the normal screen reappeared but when I re-booted it went white again.
I believe there is some loose connection somewhere. Anyone seen this problem before?

Sim,
as this is no Microsoft problem but a problem with the hardware of your notebook, this doesd not fit in here.
