Dear All,
Currently I have 4 disks on raid5, and one of it turn faulty, running win2000 on a proliant ml570.
Question is that I have a used similar harddisk, which I believe do that the old lun information and old data present on this disk.
Can I just simply use this disk to replace the faulty disk? or I have to ensure to have disk initialized before using it.

Your advise please.
Regards,
Clarence
>>Can I just simply use this disk to replace the faulty disk? or I have to ensure to have disk initialized before using it.

Just put this SCSI drive instead failed drive. You don't need to initialize drive before - SmartArray controller will automatically rebuild array.
