Does anyone know if it is possible to mount in Windows 2003 Server a lun that is in read only mode?
I have a EVA 5000 and I have presented a virtual disk in read only mode to a windows host (Write Protect = Yes in Command View EVA).
Then, I go to disk management in Windows host and I rescan, but I can not use the disk.
However, if I have the virtual disk in read/write mode, I can to use the virtual disk without any problem.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Roger,
I'm not familiar with the EVA 5000.
I do not really have a solution, but if Windows can not use it in read mode, try to secure the drive with widnows itself, so set the drive in read/write and add it to Windows

Take properties of the drive and go to security, add the everyone group and deny it write and modify access.

Have a nice day,
Regards, Ronald
