dv2217tu no audio after downgrade from vista to xp

I just bought my new notebook hp dv2217tu with Vista home operating system, but I can not use in our office due to incompatilities with our network. Our IT manager told us to downgrade to windows xp. After downgrading to xp the audio dont work. How can I activate the audio again? Is there any driver to activate the audio using windows xp? Please help. Thanks.

Could you look in Device Manager and tell us which devices are flagged in there?

Before installing the audio drivers you have to install Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA). Install Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) from following ftp link.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33501-34000/sp33566.exe

After installing UAA restart the NOtebook and install audio drivers from following ftp link.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp35501-36000/sp35682.exe
