Secondly, WHAT TOOK YOU GUYS SO LONG?? {insert grin here}

Another thing to think about: If you post the thread inside the newly created VISTA area providing a link to the exact same area you just created telling people to post VISTA issues inside this newly created area, how will they see the thread and won't they already have a link if they found you here??

Wouldn't it be a little bit more logical to post your link about the new category under the generic "Microsoft" family category so that the casual surfer would stand a better chance of finding it?

Just a thought (or two)...

undoubtly it's necessary to spread news on this.

I think that it might be of help for the community if forum authorities might send a notice on this to as many forums as seems appropriate.

Users in the n-Series, the Pavilions, the desktop forums - and even in the iPAQ forum (re: iPAQ, Vista, WM 5.0) would need to know that there now is a dedicated place and they should be notified.

Rough idea:
Why not push "notifications" to *all* user which are subscribed to (a) new threads and (b) watched therads in all thinkable forums?

IMHO the news is importanat enough to not being looked at as SPAM.

I was waiting for this catagory, like to know issues that people come accross before implementing this in our company. To be honest, I only have downsides yet.
OK a few more security options etc. that is positive.
