i'm using an Hp Pavilion dv6000. everytime i try to use the webcam on Windows Live Messenger, it says the webcams not connected. what do i do?

Does the webcam work well with its supplied software..... or with other similar chatting tools like yahoo?

i have exactly the same problem with my hp pavillion hdx 9000 m8 its snapping me

Byuen,

Select the webcam settings from the tools menu. From the camera selection box, select your webcam if it is listed and click apply. If your camera does not appear in that list it means the webcam is not connected/installed properly.

thnx patrick read a thred on here and if i put the computer into sleep mode for 7 secs with the stanby button then move mouse to wake it up cam works again for some strange reason but thnx anyway m8.
