I would like to install XP on my dv2632tx. How do I get the windows XP startup program to recognise the sata drive? I don't want to void my warrenty but VISTA is such a DISAPPOINTMENT it reminds so much of Windows ME. I'd appreciate some advice on how to do this as I just cringe every time I have to load this bloated, slow, "mostly a waste of time operating system" up.

Stevyn,
You have two options. The easiest is to enter your BIOS and try find the option for 'SATA Drive Native Mode.' It should be under Device Options. You'll need to set this to 'Disabled.' If you do not have that option in your BIOS, you'll have to find the drivers for your SATA HD and hit F2 when prompted during Windows setup for 3rd party drivers.

Let me know if you have any questions.
