Shalom,

Take a look at the Telalerting documentation and see how it sends messages.

You post leads me to believe that method is email, but you really want to be sure.

After doing this, look at the /var/adm/syslog/mail.log file for errors after you test.

SEP

Hi there,
We have a telalert server installed in Windows server.
We have the configuration file updated.
Now the issue has been resolved.
But I would be grateful if someone can explain me on this:
We did receive the alerts for sev1 and sev2.
But when we tried to run the following command "telalertc -i ABC-SMS -m "test message" -host <IP address="">" from the command line we did not recieve any test alert. It showed the error "Access denied by host nodb1remp02.amd.com<10.31.102.145:25378> Exit *telalertc, error 74: No complete connection to host".

The issue was resolved by running the command "telalert -init -terse" and then issuing the command " telalert -i ABC-SMS -m "test".
But not the previous one.
Is there any patch which needs to be installed?</IP>
