I have a few things that pop up when I start my computer.

First I get this:
Dvdagent.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because MFC71U.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.
Then I get:
TSMagent.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because MFC71U.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.
Then I get:
Cyberlink Power Cinema Resident Program has stopped working.
Finally I get:
HP DVDSmart Resident Program has stopped working.
How do I fix these problems?

These don't look like HP-UX programs or messags.
What kind of computer do you have? What OS version are you running?

I would try uninstalling and re-installing the DVD software that came with the system. What is the model of the system?

Dvdagent.exe and TSMagent.exe are files related to Cyberlink Power Cinema software. It seems the Cyberlink Power Cinema software has got corrupted.

Uninstall and re-install the Cyberlink Power Cinema software or if in case you don't use the software, uncheck the startup items related to Cyberlink Power Cinema.

To uncheck the startup items,

1. Click Start > Run.
2. Type msconfig
3. Click Ok.
4. Click the tab Startup.
5. Locate the items related to Cyberlink Power Cinema and uncheck it.

There could be more than one entry, uncheck all which are related to Cyberlink Power Cinema.

6. Click Ok.
7. Restart the computer.

I am not sure whether the steps given in the following link is applicable to your model of computer. Please try,

Above link explains the steps to recover the preinstalled applications.
