Stuck blue HP Update box on desktop

How do I get rid of an HP update notification box. It does not show in task manager so I can't end it, if it is a process I need the name then maybe I can end the process.

version of Windows in this HP-UX forum? You
might get better answers sooner in some

Have you tried the usual Windows problem
solver (reboot)?

What kind of PC do you have?
What Windows version are you using?

On XP, when HP Update does show up under the Applications tab, it's hpwucli.exe. (This may not be the notification you're talking about.)

I presume there is an update available to me, because of the blue box on lower right hand corner of my screen. How to I download and install this update?

That was the problem with the blue box there were no buttons to click on I finally found it in task manager under the applications but it continued to return. Even though everything said it was up to date. But went through and made some settings changes anyway and haven't seen it for at least a month now. Not sure how to unpost things but I'm done. Thanks to those that replied trying to help me, it was more than I got from HP support over the phone!

Awesome! My HP Update box was stuck on my desktop, I went to Task Manager and end processed hpwucli.exe and it worked! Thank you so much!
