There's probably very little you can do to search for the equipment unless the laptop was preprepared with "find me" software beforehand.

If the OS is Windows, then the command is "ipconfig /all".

If the OS is *nix, then the command is "ifconfig".

Hi mshdi,

Please call HP Support Center, they can help to check the MAC address of your laptop.

Then you need to report this case to police and provide this MAC address to them.
