The failover manager is runnig on local storage on one of the VMWare hosts, we need to perform mantenance on that host, can we shut the failover manager down and will the remainig two SANs keep quorom? Or will shutting down the failover manager cause an issue?

Just got an answer form HP, shut the failover manager down and it should be fine unless we lose power to the SANs. Also was told we could start the virtual manager on one o the SANs bt that was a 50/50. Thanks

You will not be able to add virtual manager as long as you have a FOM in the MG. You will have to remove the FOM from the

MG first, just to say. There should be no issue with powering down the FOM from the CMC, do the meintenance and power it on again when done with it.

BR
