Hello,

We get 2 lefthand frames which get the same problem "Parity Init Faild" and those 2 frames get recent version of lefthand, 12.8. One of them is up to date with lastest patchs.
I saw different posts about that topic but the last one get more than one year. Does some news about that problem ? An impact with lastest Lefthand version?

Our 2 frames are HW OK, ILO and tests passed from CMC. No Hard Disks or controlers out of order.

The problem begun by "EID_S_SERVER_STATUS_OVERLOADED E00060205", The node with that problem is Lefthand primary and stay Lefthand primary. That's not what error message explain, the secondary node should have take place of primary, detected slow throughput I/O.
Afer a node reboot, error message change from critical to warning "EID_PARITY_INIT_FAILED E01000502"

As we don't have HW problem or RAID problem, detected.
Is this a problem with Lefthand lastest version ? problems not detected by previous version ?
What is the solution ? If RAID rebuild necesary, it's risky, heavy and time consuming operation.

Thanks for your help and feedback

Hi testmado662

Thank you for coming on HPE Community forums.

There might be medium errors on the drives, we need to check that.
We may have take the node in repair mode and reinitialise the RAID, request you to contact HPE Technical support to log a case for it.

Regards
Mahesh202

Hello Mahesh,

Thanks for your response.

We don't get anymore HPE maintenance contract, over 3 years included, because we are organized to work in 24/7. We have a stock of Spare parts, in order to replace the faulty ones.

We don't try to reinit RAID because we consider it, like a risky operation. We've to wait a stop of production and backup VM before to do it.

Is there tools, we could download, to test drives and identify medium errors ?

Regards

Hello,

I saw in lefthand Notifiations, over CMC, the last 12.8 patch fixes from June 26, fixes loss of RAID configuration.

Resolves the issue which occurs while restarting the StoreVirtual OS application services on 12.8 system causes loss of RAID configuration.

But I don't know if that patch avoid lost of RAID or if it can correct system RAID when it has fails.
