Basically it was application controlled snapshots from ESX.<BR /><BR />Smartclone is sharing the same base disk among any number of volumes.<BR /><BR />But, I can tell you that I just use normal snapshots and have never had an issue with my VMWare implementation. But I can see the benefit of being able to quiesce the file system to ensure integrity.
