Hello,

next week I have to setup a P4000 cluster with 2 nodes. We have two "serverrooms".(24 UTP cables between the rooms)
So basically this is a multi-site cluster setup.
Now I was wondering if I should really set this up as a multisite cluster or would a standard cluster be ok?
What's the difference in a 2-node setup(except for future expansion)? Are there any pro's to doing this in a 2-node setup? Cons?

Any thoughts on this are appreciated.

Kind regards,

Sven

Old post but let me reply

in basic with 2 nodes each on one side it will be not a difference (asuming you have a stretched vlan). Data will be placed on both sites. But if you ad 2 extra nodes you need to have multi site activated to be sure that the copy of the data is in the otehr site and not on the node in the same side.
Pro's for future proof.
neg. a few clicks more.
