Thanks, Uwe. That's pretty much what I was looking for. I didn't think that there would be a formal announcement that FOM was supported under VMware server.

FOM questions?

We have a client that wants to use VSAs on two ESX servers, each hosting one LH cluster member. These are located at a single site. Ideally, the FOM should be elsewhere than on one of the ESX servers.

Is FOM supported on VMware server? I also haven't seen a memory or CPU reservation recommendation for the FOM. Is there one?

Thanks in advance.

The FOM is available in two versions (VMware Server + ESX/ESXi) and I've seem that it runs fine on VMware server or ESX/ESXi.

With the availability of a Hyper-V capable VSA, I've read that there is now a version of the FOM which runs on Hyper-V.

I would reserve 1 GigaByte of memory and 2 GigaHz of CPU.
