Username and Password Reset? P4300?

Hi,

I have gone and forgotten our username and password for our HP P4300 G2 SAN, this is not in production yet but would like to know if there is a procedure that can be run to reset the username and password to access the SAN? Or will a re-install be the only way forward?

HP support has a way to help you with password recovery.

in the console, after you type start you will see a box that says "Login"

DON'T press Enter. Instead hold the shift key and type the letters LHN

This will give you a "reset password" option.

I believe the default password it resets to is login: admin
password: admin

I've tried it on a Management Group of VSAs and agree, but it also means that the same old rule is still true:

Hi,

I'm having the problem.

I've tried following the steps to reset the password, but I only get the option for a 'support shell', but no 'reset password' option.

Any ideas anyone?

Craig, that option has been removed from SANiQ version 9.0
As having that option was a Security risk (allowing one to reset the password for all Nodes in the Cluster).

Please contact support, to have it reset at the back-end.

Im trying to do this but when I write LHN appears a second menu called support shell, when i clink on this menu appear a black screen and password: what i have to do now.

This option is not available anymore since SANiQ 9.0...
