P4500 4 node cluster 1 node high fan speed

Hi There,

I have a P4500G1 4-node multi-site cluster.

A couple of weeks ago one of the nodes started running it's fans much faster than the others.

I have tried rebooting it, but that hasn't helped.

Looking at the average of the four fan speeds for each node in the CMC, they are:

Site 1 'Power ambient' temp: 30C

node 1:10,833 ( 'Power ambient' temp: 25C)

node 2: 6,571 ( 'Power ambient' temp: 31C)

Site 2

node 3: 6,350 ( 'Power ambient' temp: 30C)

node 4: 6,615 ( 'Power ambient' temp: 31C)

Clearly, node 1 is gong a bit nuts, although it's temperature is fine.

Any one had any luck finding a solution to this problem (I saw a previous post which suggested a motherboard change).

Did you recently update thie bios or ILO ?

This is a known issue with certian versions.

Check you firmware values here.

If you need some help just post your model number and all the fw versions

I will look it over.

Thanks for your replies.

Should all of the firmware versions be listed in the Storage system Hardware Information tab in the CMC?

I cannot see LO-100 or values for the Drive Backplane that look anything like they should.

I have exported the information (with serial # removed), and it is attached. I would very much appreciate your advise.
