Here are the instructions I created and have used to consistently get the MPIO setup to function. This was done while working with support to get this right since the documentation (as you found) can be a little lacking.

I've followed the instructions from the HP P4000 DSM for MPIO Deployement Guide but I am still unable to set the MPIO policy to Round Robin. Dual nics on the server to a 3 node P4500. Both nics connect up just fine via iSCSI, but when I try to set the MPIO from Vendor Specific to Round Robin, I receive a "The Request is not supported" pop up and I'm not able to change it. I'm missing something, anyone know why I'm unable to change that.

Just in case someone else runs into this problem, I was finally able to upgrade to 9.5 SAN/iQ (from 8.5) and the round robin started working in my iscsi initiators. Don't know what would've caused this, but just an FYI for anyone else who might run into this and see this thread.
