topic Application Managed Snapshots without truncating logfiles? in StoreVirtual Storage

I'm trying to come up with a backup strategy for our Exchange 2010 install that combines SAN snapshots with regular VSS based exchange-aware backups.

The issue I'm finding is that the P4000 Application Managed Snapshots appear to truncate the logfiles, so it's difficult to combine them with a mixture of full and incremental backups because if the timing is off the logs won't be consistent when the backup software tries to tun an incremental backup.

Is there a way to create an application managed snapshot without truncating the transaction logs please?

We're currently on a patched up SAN/iQ 9.0.

Thanks.
