Hello:

I have a Critital alarm on a P4300 G2 storage node. The object name es Memory Utilization, the detail says "The system memory utilization (96.0052%) status is ´Critical´ ". The date of this message is two days before however the node is working now, but the critical indicator continue on the CMC, Wath this message means? and how can i clear the indicator in the CMC.

Any idea?

Felipe Mtz.

if you just upgraded to v12, I believe the memory utilization is higher for the OS than before. Only "solution" is to add more memory to the system.

Thank you.

No component (HW or SW) was upgraded in the last months, so I presume that the problem is elsewhere.

Thank you, anyway...

M.N.

this brings back memories...

The P4300 G2's are severaly underspeced - We've always had performance problems with them since day 1.

One thing that helped was installing more RAM - Our units only came with 4GB and a single CPU.

I upped this to 16GB and they now reboot in about half the time.

Same, they are triple channel memory so 12gb made sense for us.

Made a good improvement to performance consistency for us.
