The ICE control SW is a paid-for plugin for an existing vCenter server, not a replacement. I don't know if HP offers vCenter for download from their own web pages (the rules and links change from time to time) - if not you have to get it from VMware.

"or it is another pieces of software that I have to order... "

Yes. You order a license, and download it from VMware. (usually) ;o)

Where did you originally get your ESX Licenses? VMware? or HP?

Steven

"should be" ?

It might be if you have bought a special bundle that includes vCenter, but I have never heard that you get vCenter "for free" if you buy 8 ESX licenses...

The accelaration kits include a vCenter License and usually 6 or 8 cpu licenses.

Did you get Enterprise Plus licenses for the servers?

Steven

Then it probably was not a kit.

You probably need to start talking to the vendor you purchased them from... and find out why you do not have one. They shold be able to locate/track it down if they DID sell you the appropiate license.

Steven
