topic VMWare View 4 integration with HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS) in Operating System - VMware

I have difficulty integrating HP RGS with the VMWare View 4 client version 4.0.1-233023. To sum up: -

We are using HP RGS v5.4.0.

We have configured and installed HP RGS Sender on a blade workstation and HP RGS receiver on a HP thin client device.

We have configured VMWare View Agent on the blade and it correctly detected HP RGS sender and configured itself to use this. The VMWare View 4 server is configured to use Direct Connect and we have selected RGS as the protocol.

However, on the thin client device, the VMWare View Client does not pick up HP RGS in the Protocol drop-down menu when we attempt to connect to the blade. This includes launching the View Client with -protocol RGS and various other command-line options.

The HP RGS receiver works fine when connecting directly to the blade without using the View Agent.

Could you shed some light on why VMWare View Agent will not populate the Protocol drop-down menu with HP RGS as a viable connection protocol? Any help you can offer on this would be most appreciated.

Attached image and i. imgur. com/Biel7.jpg [note spaces in url]
