We have a lot of new DL360 G7 Servers integratet in our VMware environment. Last week i testet with upgrading one of these hosts to the up-to-date bios, firmware, ilo etc. and I also updated HP offline bundle and HP nmi bundle for ESXi 4.1.

Since this Update i receive snmp traps in Insight Manager in irregular intervals:

(SNMP) Remote Insight/ Integrated LightsOut Unauthorized Login Attempts (9003)

(SNMP) Remote Insight/ Integrated LightsOut Self Test Error (9005): Event Information

(SNMP) Remote Insight/ Integrated LightsOut Interface Error (9006): Event Information

These 3 traps appeear in each case with the same timestamp.

I tried reinstalling the offline bundles as well as downgrading iLO. The server is working well, but i woould like to get rid of the traps and ideally find the reason.

Has anyone ideas whrere to search?

Daniel

That's coming from the ILO and not the ESXi Server.

My guess is you have something polling the ILO ports that's trying to login.

You might want to change the ILOs themselves not to send SNMP Traps.
