Adding DL360 gen9 to gen7 vmware cluster

Dear forum

At this moment I have a vmware essentials plus 5.5 U2 cluster with two DL 380 & 360 G7 servers.

I an looking in to add a third server and thinking of adding a NEW DL 360 Gen 9,

Are there any major issues I can encounter adding a new server with different more advanced processors.

having the same memory on all server

Hello,

I strongly suggest not to mix the different generation servers, as the processor in each of these generation has different enhancements.

So when you a mix of servers with different generations then the lowest generation server processor features will be taken as the baseline.

These can effect the overall performance.
