We had a system crash and working with support determined that we need to update our Power Supply firmware as described in the buliten below. The issue is there is only an installer for windows (.exe) and Linux (.rpm). ESXi 6.5 does not support rpm's. Has anyone figured out how to isntall this firmware on ESXi?

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-a00050474en_us&docLocale=en_US

You may add these packages to an HPE SPP (HPE SUM) and install.

The best method would be to download HPE SPP ISO.

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_a6fe854af60d4b86a8905f0e27

Create a USB bootable of the SPP using USB Key Utility for Windows. Download link below:

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_360731071b404454b454390208#tab1

Copy the firmware files into the packages folder in the bootable USB created above.

Boot from the SPP to update the required firmware packages which were added to the packages folder.
